Description
This is the third in a series of paintings done of the front of an old country store in central Texas between Austin and Bastrop. The gasoline pump and the oil or kerosene tanks are similar to the ones at my father's service station where I work as a teenager. These scenes are still around rural Texas but may be gone in the not too distant future. So I like to paint them to keep the memory of them alive a bit longer.
