Description
This is a street scene of North Getty Street in Uvalde, Texas which is the main north and south running street and is also US Highway 83 that runs from southern Texas to Minnesota. This scene includes the old Uvalde Rexall Drug store where many of the towns people gathered at the soda fountain for coffee and short order food. When my wife, Rose, and I were visiting my parents, who lived near Montell, Texas, we would come to Uvalde shopping and often included a visit to Rexall's just so we could have something at the soda fountain. This painting is my attempt at preserving those memories. THE ORIGINAL OF THIS PAINTING IS ONLY AVAILABLE UNFRAMED AT THE PRICE SHOWN.
